Hot Cloth Happiness - Boost your Radiance!

Boots are handing their £5 No7 vouchers out again *yay!* so this time, for the first time, I used mine wisely and picked up the 'No7 Radiance Boosting Hot Cloth Cleanser.'

This has been compared to the infamous Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish Hot Cloth Cleanser by bloggers and my sister has been a loyal Liz Earle customer since as far back as I can remember - I used to see her rubbing the muslin cloth on her face and think 'God that's so much effort!' but her skin is so clear, blemish free with no visible pores that I thought to myself, its time I invested in better skincare.

It comes in a 200ml pump bottle which is a really substantial amount with one muslin cloth - I think the Liz Earle comes with two, but muslin cloths are fairly cheap and accessible, usually found in the baby-care aisles in Boots and alike.

The packaging spiel is something along the lines of 'luxury of spa facial in your own home...dual action cleanser...whisks away dead skin and daily grime...stimulating circulation...leaving skin deeply clean, soft and radiant.'

What you do is... place about a pump and a half on your fingertips and rub in circular motions all over your face and towards the neck. This is done on dry skin and its a lovely, thick but not gloopy cream which is fragranced so nicely, it does definitely smell like a spa product. I've heard it can be put on a full face of make up as it is a cleanser, but I personally think that's just laziness and how is it supposed to deep clean if its getting through all that foundation first? Personal opinion though, you may wear a lot less make up than I do on a daily basis in which case it wont be an issue to go straight onto the face - I tend to run a face wipe over my face first and remove eye make up.

Then wet the muslin cloth with comfortably warm water and place over the face for a couple minutes, before taking the cloth and slowly rubbing it all over the face ( I go section at a time rather than just rubbing the whole face at once) to exfoliate and remove the cream product. Then rinse the face to get the leftover bits and you're done!

This is such a great product and I'm so glad I finally picked it up. The first time I used it it really did feel like a facial and the exfoliating of the muslin cloth felt so calming and cleansing after a long day of London pollution all over my face. My skin was so silky smooth, I couldn't believe it. It felt clearer and I think the product lives up to its 'radiance boosting' title as my skin did look hydrated and glowy after first use. After a few more uses I had gotten used to the luxury side but it still exfoliates well and given my skin an even base in terms of getting rid of dry skin areas and neutralising oilier zones, minimising the appearance of pores.

I use the hot cloth cleanser about 3 times a week, the rest of the week I'm currently using this 'Garnier Pure 3 in 1 Wash Scrub & Mask' which I think is a bit of a gimmick actually but more on that another time...

I would have to recommend the No7 Radiance Boosting Cleanser because, with the £5 voucher this product comes to a mere fiver and its definitely worth it. For £10 its a good buy as well and I may repurchase it, not that I will run out any time soon, but I can't compare to the Liz Earle which is roughly £13-14 as that may be tonnes better for only a few quid more.

Birthday blog post/Haul/ FOTD OOTD coming soon! xoxo
