One.

It's a Sunday evening, I've managed to do majority of my work for tomorrow, washed my make up brushes.. there's nothing really left to do but begin my blog :)

A little bit of background..

I decided to take the plunge and set this up purely because I have become ADDICTED to watching the likes of ThePersianBabe, Zoella, SprinkleofGlitter, Meek-n-mild, ViviannaDoesMakeup and many more on youtube. I then came across their blogs which give greater insight into the products they've reviewed and the pictures are always great. I found myself commenting (in my head) along with them and thought hang on, why don't I actually write down what I think and put it out there...and that is the story of the birth of this blog!

My Go-To Brands.
Whilst I am on the lookout to try new products and overseas brands I do have my staple concessions that I've been visiting without fail for years.

1. MAC

I think this should be every girls starter store for make up. The range of colours in every product are so vast and for a professional make-up brand I would say it is fairly affordable, with lipsticks priced at £13.50 and foundation starting at £19.50. I think I have possibly tried every type of product in MAC (not every item/colour) and have more than enough MAC products alone to last me a good 10 years!

I would say the most expensive items are probably the brushes but they are SO worth it - I have had my set of MAC brushes since I was 17 - over 4 years and use them every single day once at least and they have yet to let me down.

2. Chanel

This has become a newer go - to brand for me, perhaps as I've started growing up (a little bit) I wanted to see what all the fuss was about. I most recently bought the Chanel Inimitable Intense Mascara in Noir #10. Products do range much higher, single eye shadows at £21-£22.50, foundation at £33 and the colour range is not as evolving and vibrant as MAC - it carries a more demure, sophisticated range whilst MAC tends to cater to a broader age class.

Since I won't be able to buy any clothing, bags or shoes from the beloved brand any time soon I went straight to the make up counter about 7 months ago and bought the Pro Lumiére foundation in shade 30 as my first buy [Review in a future blog] and love it.

 >>>  CHANEL is DISCONTINUING Pro Lumiére *sob* but more on that in a later blog  <<<

I've had SO many compliments on my skin since wearing this and the best thing is the foundation itself carries great skin benefits so it is not a chore at all. My skin has never been great and I envy those with flawless complexions but this has done wonders to heal mine.

From the elegant packaging to the rich texture and consistency of the product itself, Chanel is classic in every way.
.......................................................................................................
Aside from these two, I frequently use Bobbi Brown, Illamasqua, E.L.F, Maybelline, Me Me Me, Urban Decay, Sleek, Inglot, Kiko, Nars... a range of both drug store and more high-end luxury.

Future Blogs...
I just wanted to use my first blog as a tester, see how long it took me with pictures etc, I'm fairly rubbish with a camera so still getting the hang of it!

I plan to do reviews on new/existing/best selling products whenever I can get my hands on them, current trends, dupes for the high end products and any hauls... I am studying Law at the same time but I'll try my best to update regularly :D
